The diplomatic relations between the Republic of Macedonia and the Swiss Confederation were established on 31.01.1994. The political dialogue between the two countries is continuous. Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Economy, Internal Affairs and Justice have exchanged many visits. Lately, the collaboration between the two countries has been intensified due to the Republic of Macedonia's taking over of the chairmanship of the Council of Europe's Committee of Ministers from Switzerland.
